Description: Handsome tall variety. Leathery dark green leaves, up to 25 cm long, covered below with an ash grey grey indumentum. Creamy white flowers, blotched with crimson, in trusses of 15-20 flowers. Needs shelter.

Somewhere between Hardy in a sheltered site in most UK, Coastal France and northern Italy and Pacific Northwest gardens, but may be damaged in severest winters. Often early into flower and growth.
